Who we are
Fou Loka runs this store. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Last updated 18 October 2026.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, email, mobile number and delivery address, plus what you bought and the order amount.
- When you pay: payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details — only a payment reference and whether it succeeded.
- When you join the newsletter: your email address and when you signed up.
- On your device: your bag, saved favourites, theme and currency choice are kept in your browser's storage, not on our servers. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To process, pack and deliver your order, and to send order, shipping and refund emails.
- To answer your questions and handle returns, exchanges and refunds.
- To send drop announcements — only if you opted in. Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the services that help us run the store, and only what each one needs:
- Razorpay — to take your payment.
- Our courier partners — your name, phone and address, to deliver your order.
- Our email provider — to send order emails and newsletters.
- Our website hosting and database providers — where order records are stored.
- India Post's PIN code directory — only the PIN you type, to fill in your city and state.
We don't sell your data. We share it with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we need them for delivery, returns, accounting and tax law. Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted (where we don't have to keep it by law), or withdraw consent to marketing emails at any time. Write to our contact page with your request — we'll reply within a reasonable time. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above. Big changes will be announced on this page before they apply.
